About

Kirk Northrop has completed approximately a third of his life, which he currently spends in a scruffy part of Manchester. He is originally from Cambridge, but moved away because nothing much happens there. If he had a choice, he would live in Vancouver, because he likes trees, water and mountains.

He has a varied list of hobbies, from geeky interests in Computing and Transport to geeky interests in Film and Current Affairs.

He likes it even more when all these get shoved together, so a film, set in Vancouver about the computer controlled SkyTrain having a massive crash that gets extensive rolling news coverage would make him uncontrollably excited.

Despite this wide range of seemingly normal interests, he is currently single, but hopes that he will soon find the woman of his dreams who will also like much of the above.

If you want to start a conversation with him, mentioning either Ben Folds Five, Scott Pilgrim or obscure films starring Ellen Page will elicit a generally positive reaction.

Currently he works for a large cinema chain where he is paid to do maths and give bits of orange card to people. In the future he hopes to do something more exciting, but he hasn’t yet worked out what that is.

If you would like to contact him for any particular reason, either use the contact form, or his e-mail address is his first name at this domain.
